Drinks are probably worth €3, so €2 for the clock tower seems fairly reasonable. Decent sized beer and wine were given with our tokens. The courtyard where the bar is situated is nice, with shaded seating areas to have your drink.
It’s fairly cramped on the stairs and at the top, difficult to pass one another. The entrance fee includes a free drink in the pleasant terrace cafe below. Visitors climb 53 steep wooden steps to reach a low-ceilinged chamber with 360-degree views. Dating originally from the 7th century, it was damaged by an explosion in 1856, and rebuilt with baroque elements by Fethi Pasha. It’s all internal, but the windows at the top are opened. Commanding the highest point in the Old Town, this sturdy clocktower offers a tremendous panorama. You get a slightly better view over old town. At the top, it’s isn’t that spectacular really. Not a particularly difficult climb and it’s not too high, but there’s no railing and you can see through the slats below, so may cause issues for someone with a particular fear of heights. Internally, you can climb it to the top, using a wooden staircase. The clock tower itself looks pretty cool from the outside (you can see this for free on nearby streets). With your entry fee, you get a “free” drink at the bar. Entrance fee is €5 and paid at small till area, at bottom of stairs leading to courtyard area.
